Today’s (not so) Wordless Wednesday is Disney Music. Music is a big deal in their theme parks – from ambient background, to catchy tunes that haunt you all day on rides (you’re welcome). This week I’m highlighting one of my favourite musical Magic Kingdom attractions.
Disney Music
Mickey’s Philharmagic is a 4D attraction. The story takes place with Donald Duck and is a Disney music medley through some of Disney’s higher profile movies.
Yet the Disney music theme starts long before we get to watch the movie. Check this large selection of posters advertising other well known ‘performers’ in the entrance.
I think these posters are so cool. I never get bored of looking at the ‘alternate’ careers of some well known Disney characters.
There is one poster that’s my favourite though. Mickey is there to welcome us – it’s his concert after all (despite not being in the movie much!).
I like the vibrant colours of this poster, but there’s more to it than meets the eye.
I love that this poster is 2 dimensional! I also think the back is better artwork than the front.
There are also more subtle details. The pre-show area is fairly dark and it’s easy to miss the musical notes and instruments decorating the carpets.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this week’s celebration of Disney Music. If you liked these photos you may also be interested in my previous Disney Wordless Wednesday posts too.
This is part of a Disney themed blog hop, so if you’ve not checked out our host yet then do pay her a visit (just hit the blue icon at the bottom).
Is there any particular Disney music you enjoy at the parks? Let me know 🙂
On Pinterest? I have a Disney Board so lets hook up!
