Disney Adventure – (Not so) Wordless Wednesday

Disney, Disney Wordless Wednesday
Today's (not so) Wordless Wednesday theme is Disney Adventure. When I visit Walt Disney World, I can't help but think about all the fun little adventures I have so I hardly knew where to start with this one. Still, I've never been one to let a little detail like 'too much choice' get in my way, so lets get started on our... Disney Adventure There aren't many Disney adventures that were 'born' on the first day Disneyland opened, but the Jungle Cruise Expedition is one of them.   However if a river cruise through the tropics isn't exciting enough for you, maybe a runaway train is more appealing?   Or maybe you'd prefer a more vertical adventure on the Tower of Terror. Count me out of that particular Disney adventure though, the only elevator I've dar...

Disney Parades – Wordless Wednesday

Disney, Disney Wordless Wednesday
Today's Wordless Wednesday theme is "Disney Parades". I've been very lucky to be able to visit Walt Disney World a lot over the years. It's great to have excuse to share some of my Disney Parade memories, new and old. Shall we just jump right in? Ok then! Disney Parades Ahhh, Tapestry of Nations, I really liked you. By keeping things simple and largely only using giant puppeteers it was a refreshingly different feel for a parade. Unfortunately it took place around the Epcot's World Showcase which lacked space, turning the entire area into a bit of a nightmare for both guests and parade participants. Share a Dream Come True was a Magic Kingdom afternoon parade and one of the odder ones really. Interesting Snow Globe concept, but also rather hard to relate to your favourite ch...

Disney memories in May: Wordless Wednesday

Disney, Disney Wordless Wednesday
Today's Disney Wordless Wednesday theme is "May Calendar Shot". We frequently visit Orlando this time of year and 2011 was no exception. These photos bring back some special Disney memories in May. It's also very topical for this week too! In 2011, Will and Kate (yes, that Will and Kate) were getting married back home in the UK while we were in Walt Disney World. Yup, we were missing the Royal Wedding. Fortunately it was shown on US TV too, however it was during our wander of the World Showcase in Epcot that day that we were also greeted with this scene. Disney memories in May: Wordless Wednesday Such a surprise! It hadn't occurred to either of us at all that the Royal Wedding would be celebrated anywhere else except back home in the United Kingdom.   It was v...
Disney Storytelling: Disney Wordless Wednesday

Disney Storytelling: Disney Wordless Wednesday

Disney, Disney Wordless Wednesday
Today's Wordless Wednesday theme is Disney Storytelling. I wanted to keep things simple because ultimately everything about Disney represents storytelling in some form! I have decided to showcase these small statues in the Magic Kingdom that represent the early movies and cartoons. This to me, encapsulates Disney storytelling perfectly. So lets jump in and get started straight away with this week's: Wordless Wednesday - Disney Storytelling These statues were a familiar sight for me on every visit but have recently been moved.   The photos were all taken a little while ago in their old location around the castle hub.   I've always appreciated the tribute to famous classic Disney characters. There's something so simple and understated about them. ...
Celebrating Nature: Disney Wordless Wednesday

Celebrating Nature: Disney Wordless Wednesday

Disney, Disney Wordless Wednesday
Today's Disney Wordless Wednesday theme is "Nature". Not only a fitting topic due to it being Earth Day, but it's also the 17th anniversary of Disney's Animal Kingdom park officially opening it's doors for the very first time. Happy Birthday DAK! So lets start with the birthday girl...boy...umm, park at Animal Kingdom for this week's: Disney Wordless Wednesday The Kilimanjaro Safari is obviously cool, but I prefer the Asian themed Maharajah Jungle Trek more. Lots of atmosphere and theming and these beautiful kitties have such a huge enclosure. It's always a must-do for us to visit the tigers. Staying at Animal Kingdom park, there's no way I could write this post and not include the beautiful, slow-motion, stilt-walking Devine. She's the personification of nature. If you ...

Looking For A Sign: Disney Wordless Wednesday

Disney, Disney Wordless Wednesday
This story begins last week when I happened to discover the Disney Wordless Wednesday Blog Hop. This led me to the main host, Focused on the Magic - a Disney Fan site. Hmm, an excuse to post my Disney photos? Ok, sign me up!! Now as I do have a bit of 'a thing' for photos of signs, I am taking this week's subject - Looking For A Sign - literally. It's been really hard narrowing this down to only TEN photos, so I've tried to include some unusual ones. Can you guess where they were taken? :D Ok, I am now officially forcing myself to stop otherwise I'll be posting photo's all day, haha. It's been great to have an opportunity to share a few of my Walt Disney World photo's with you all and that you have some fun figuring out where they were all t...
